What kind of money could I make?

Let's say that twenty ThoughtShops carry your song item and that over a six month period five people buy it from each ThoughtShop. You would earn $1000 for three hours worth of work.

Keep in mind that this is a very simple example. All of the numbers are very low. There will likely be many more ThoughtShops, and many more accesses for each information item. Also, items will be greatly inter- related, much more than is evident in today's physical print media. Access to related items will be quick and direct, allowing for greater exposure to information. This means more people will access more information. To keep things realistic, hourly rates would be much lower than you might expect. With greater access, the rates should go down.

What prevents me from choosing an outrageously high
hourly rate?

please note: The word "Immuexa" was originally my name for what later became the World-Wide-Web. It's now the name of a company, not a network.

The software known here as "ThoughtShop" was originally called "Colony." The rights to the tradename "Colony" were sold in January 2000.
